CEBU – EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) launches its advanced Cybersecurity Center in Cebu, expanding the organization’s global, AI-driven cyber operations network and reinforcing the role of the Philippines as a hub for cybersecurity, AI talent and intelligent cyber defense.

The much-anticipated launch comes as cyber resilience becomes a board-level priority. As organizations adopt AI, cloud and connected platforms at speed, security teams face wider attacks and faster-moving threats.

The Cebu Cybersecurity Center is designed to help clients respond to this shift with advanced analytics, automation and AI-led operations that support continuous threat detection and response at global scale.

The center will form part of EY’s broader move toward autonomous security operations centers, where analysts are supported by intelligent platforms, automated workflows and AI-enabled decision support.

This means security teams can reduce manual alert handling, improve detection effectiveness and respond faster to threats while maintaining human oversight where it matters most.

“Cybersecurity is now inseparable from business resilience and growth,” said Ajay Anand, EY GDS Global Vice Chair.

“Our continued investment in cyber capabilities reflects the scale of what clients need: globally connected teams, advanced platforms and the ability to innovate with speed. Cebu is an important part of this long-term strategy, expanding how the global EY organization provides intelligent cyber defense for clients around the world.”

At the core of the Cebu Cybersecurity Center is a platform-driven operating model that brings together unified data, AI insights and globally consistent managed detection and response services.

The center will support EY’s Intelligent Defense Platform (EY ID), supported by CrowdStrike, as part of a broader ecosystem that integrates leading technologies from EY alliances such as CrowdStrike, Zscaler, Tanium and Cyble.

Together, these capabilities improve endpoint, cloud and threat intelligence operations across complex enterprise environments.

For clients, the center is expected to support enhanced automation capabilities and standardized cybersecurity service delivery across geographies.

It will also help EY teams develop reusable detection content, playbooks and automation assets that can be adapted for different sectors, risk profiles and regulatory environments.

“The Philippines continues to be a strategic growth driver for EY GDS cybersecurity,” said Vinod Jayaprakash, EY GDS Cybersecurity Leader.

“The launch of our Cybersecurity Center in Cebu strengthens our global, AI-driven cyber operations network — bringing together scaled delivery, deep technical knowledge and a platform-led approach. This expansion enhances our ability to help clients navigate increasingly complex threat landscapes, accelerate modernization and build resilient, intelligence-led security operations provided consistently across regions.”

Beyond technology, the launch is a big talent story for Cebu and the Philippines.

The center is expected to develop high-value cybersecurity skills in threat intelligence, cybersecurity engineering and AI-driven cyber analytics, helping create pathways for Filipino professionals to work on global cyber challenges while contributing to the country’s digital competitiveness.

“Cebu combines a deep cyber talent pipeline, a high-velocity delivery culture and a rapidly maturing technology ecosystem, forming the critical conditions for a scaled cyber innovation hub,” said Maez De Guzman, EY GDS Philippines Cybersecurity Leader and EY Cybersecurity Managed Services Emerging Markets Leader.

“This Cybersecurity Center strengthens the Philippines’ role as a strategic hub in EY’s global, AI-native cyber operations fabric while systematically developing Filipino talent to operate and engineer the next generation of cyber resilience.”

As cyber risk converges with core enterprise operations, the Cebu Cybersecurity Center positions EY GDS as a strategic delivery engine, offering sector-aligned, intelligence-led cybersecurity services.

This marks a decisive expansion of EY’s AI-native cyber operations footprint, advancing platform-driven detection and response while exporting high-value cyber engineering and operations talent from the Philippines to the global market.
